ReStore 2018: Year in Review

What happened at the ReStore this year?

FIRST…

Thank you for making 2018 a great year at the ReStore! We cannot operate without all of our customer, donor & volunteer support, which means we cannot do what we do without YOU!

“a world where everyone has a decent place to live”

Our main mission at the ReStore is to raise funds for Habitat for Humanity of Omaha, as we donate 100% of the net proceeds to help build a stronger community. This year our ReStores were a part of building 42 homes in our Omaha community.

JANUARY 2018: launched our ReStore e-Store

In January of last year, we launched our ReStore e-Store, which was actually the first online ReStore in the country! Pioneering this online endeavor was a huge task for our stores, but we are happy to provide a convenient way for our customers to shop our ReStores.

DONATION DRIVE

In the last year, we made 3,724 trips to Omaha area homes to pick-up donations & had 11,351 people drop-off their donations at our ReStores!

MARKET AT THE ReStore: one year anniversary

In September, we celebrated the one year anniversary of our Market at the ReStore! This unique corner is where you’ll find vintage, handmade & upcycled items that will be a conversation piece in your home. Still haven’t visited our Market? It is open Thursday to Saturday from 10am6pm.

ReStore EVENTS

We host many events, sales & promotions throughout the year and are thankful everyone who participates & visits our ReStores on these days.

Thank you for making our ReStore events a success!

Thank you volunteers!

We rely on our volunteers for extra support, help & skills around our ReStores. This year we had volunteers log over 21,000 hours of work which was a 75% increase over last year!

SAVING OUR LANDFILLS

Another big part of our ReStore mission is to save quality, reusable items from local landfills.

Our Omaha ReStore outlets have diverted more than 3,200 tons of materials from the landfill & given items a second life.
