Donate Appliances, Furniture & Building Supplies | Omaha Habitat ReStore

habitat restore donations

Can I give donations to Habitat ReStore?

We accept donations of new and gently used residential building supplies, household furniture, home décor items, and select commercial items that we determine will sell in our retail store.

With a few exceptions, we look for items that you can find at a “big box” home improvement or home furnishing store.

**Note that this list is not all inclusive or all exclusive. Due to oversupply and limited space, we may limit the acceptance of items from time to time.

All the items we take must be:

  • Reusable: The item must be made for use in or can easily be used directly in residential or light commercial construction, improvement, maintenance, or furnishing by the common home or small business owner.
  • Structurally Sound & Complete: All items must be complete, intact, sturdy and free of major damage.
  • Functional: The item must be able to do what it was made to do. It needs to be ready to work “right off the shelf” without repair.
  • Cosmetically Appealing: The item must be appealing for reuse “as is” in another person’s home, something you’d give to friends or family.

How to donate an item to Omaha’s Habitat ReStore

1. Review the guidelines for items you wish to donate.

All items should be in good, clean condition and fully functional.
