Volunteer Opportunities
Your time makes a big difference to the families who partner with Habitat Omaha.
Becoming a volunteer at Habitat for Humanity Omaha is more than building houses. If customer service is where your strengths are, the ReStore is the place for you. At the ReStore you are helping rehome furniture, appliances and building materials, which keeps them out of landfills. A win for the community and a greener Nebraska.
No experience or special skills are required – we’ll provide any training you may need for your shift. You can help out as frequently as you want or join our team, we are hiring!
*All volunteers 14-15 years of age must have a parent or guardian present.
*All volunteers under the age of 19 must have a parent or guardian signed waiver.
During Your Shift You Might:
– Help with merchandising
– Assist customers
– Work with staff to process donations
– Use your creativity to repurpose or restore items
– Complete exterior work on grounds
Workers Compensation
Omaha Habitat Restores are happy to partner with and host individuals on workers compensation. Utilizing creative planning, we are able to accommodate individuals with physical restrictions and work within the limitations of each individual.
If you are in need of Court Ordered Community Service hours, please reach out to our team at volunteer@habitatomaha.org to verify eligibility to complete hours with our volunteer program. It is REQUIRED that you do this before signing up for a shift.
